Dedicated to those who are trapped in misery, the song is quoted with various lines of Flannery O’Connor’s novel themes of one’s path to freedom. The violent symbolism is to raise awareness to those who intentionally inflict pain, in a sense those who have become a slave of it- justice will prevail. Its time to break the chains and get rid of the bloody headache of abuse, I’m not your slave any longer.
